Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Care Instructions
Mediterranean native. Aromatic leaves are often used in cooking. Small clusters of blue ¼” to ½” flowers in winter and spring, attracting birds and bees.
Size: 2 to 6 ft.
Planting Guide: Enjoy indoors for a month or two but eventually should be outdoors in containers or the garden. Well drained soil. Prune to shape as desired.
Light: Bright light. 6-8 hours of sun.
Temperature: Established plants in the ground can tolerate 20 degrees F but protect or bring in smaller containers when below 30 degrees F as roots are more sensitive to cold.
Water: In pot, water thoroughly but allow soil to dry slightly between watering. In the garden, keep on the dry side.
Feeding: Feed lightly during periods of growth.
